This was our 15th trip to the Maldives and 1st to Lily Beach. We were greeted by the ever smiling and helpful Musab of guest relations, and then met the ever present resort manager Laurent. I don’t think a day passed without his seeing us and asking if everything was perfect or anything was needed. And all of his staff followed his example. We always felt special. Our ‘room man’ Toppi, added to perfect service with incredible flower displays on our bed some evenings. Suranga, sommelier, always provided the best advice on food and drink. The dive shop team of Charl, Laura, Gabby and Ivan made every dive exceptional from preparation to tours of the sites - we often felt like we were the only divers on the island. We saw incredible giant mantas that circled us for 20 min, turtles, and unbelievable amounts of fish and beautiful coral. There’s an excellent house reef providing 1-2 hours great snorkelling each day - all accessible from most rooms directly. We took time out for the spa, too. Dewi and Kayan provide a terrific Balinese massage. All the restaurant staff were extraordinary. So what didn’t we like? The flight out on Transmaldivian was 20 min and the return was 2 hours as we bizarrely wandered around picking up from other islands. While the facilities at Lily Beach all worked, they are worn, sometimes a lot. Tiles are cracked, doors don’t close easy, the air con can be loud, wooden piers need attention, and the gym was 20 years out of date. Did any of this damage our holiday? Not really, but the owners could put some money in to easily remedy this. Read Less

From the welcome by the manager and staff to the goodbye after our 5 night Luxury Escape Package, we were blown away by the beauty of the surroundings, the colours of the pools and ocean, the fabulous foods on offer, the service, the attention to detail, the beverages on offer and the friendliness of all staff. Sometimes you can be disappointed when you reach a destination because it doesn’t quite ‘make it’. Lily Beach exceeded our expectations by far! Perfection plus! We would rate it 5+ ! The seaplane from Male was a fantastic experience in itself and then arriving at the island there was a lovely welcome from staff. We had had a long tiring journey with a missed transfer and had delay but the staff made sure our room was ready immediately so that we could settle in and relax straight away. Thank you to Hisam who showed us to our villa and made sure we had everything we needed, he also checked in with us whenever we met him around the resort to make sure everything was good. All the restaurants were fantastic, the choice of food amazing and the staff so friendly. A special thank you to Mustafa at Lily Mae for looking after us at breakfast and dinner. Also all the chefs were fantastic sorry I didn’t get the names but the chef who did the eggs at breakfast and the chefs who cooked the meet and fish at dinner were all great, lovely food. We spent all our days at Aqva were it was quiet, child free pool. We lunched there everyday the food again was fantastic and also a big thank you to Seranga who looked after us each day, he was so warm and friendly. There was also Sisini and Hari at Aqva who did drinks each evening. It was lovely getting to know them all at Aqva. The staff at the water sports centre that sorted us with our snorkelling gear and took us out on the reef were all great as well. The trip to the local island was lovely and our guide (sorry didn’t get name) was very informative. All the staff on the sunset cruise were lovely, as was the champagne and canapés. They really know how to make experiences memorable. Tamarind restaurant was a lovely experience, the food amazing and again the staff so friendly, it was my husband’s birthday and they went to a lot of trouble to decorate the table and make a lovely cake. The staff all sang happy birthday again they made a lovely memory for us. Our villa was beautiful and Toppi our room boy was fantastic, we never wanted for anything, the villa was always lovely. We would like to thank him especially for his bed art. He decorated it beautifully for my husband’s birthday and the shark he made one night was amazing. It was a shame to have to move them to go to bed. The Tamara Spa was also a lovely experience and we would like to especially thank Juli and Dewi for our fantastic Ayurvedic Abhyanga massages, we have never felt so pampered. Chilton and Bema at the reception were always ready to help with any requests we had. Very professional and friendly! Morgan from water sports is beyond words to describe this guy! Incredible guide for our snorkeling, WOW tour and turtle experience! We made some unforgetful memories with him. He is very talented! Captured beautiful moments on video and shared with us! This is a beautiful place! I would recommend it to all my friends & family! Paradise setting and extremely kind and welcoming staff makes this a very special place! Read Less

This was our second trip to this little piece of heaven, returning 13 years after our initial trip for our honeymoon. This is the ideal location for a luxury all inclusive getaway, where wonderful rooms, premises, restaurants, kids club are available to make any guests' trip a real pleasant experience. A special shoutout to Sara, who was the first friendly face who greeted us upon our arrival and who really spared no effort during our entire stay to ensure that we and our children were having the best time possible. Beyond professional, efficient, friendly and kind she really went above and beyond and she really made that extra difference that made our stay extra amazing!
