The place is majestically beautiful. The food and drinks were delicious. There are wonderful activities to do with brilliant, experienced people. Beautiful restaurants and bars. Great gym and tennis court with amazing instructors. It truly felt like paradise, and I can’t wait to come back! There are way too many names to mention on here as everyone was incredibly friendly and kind but just a special shout out to Lily who looked after me right from the start of the holiday and all the way through till the end. Everything from the food to the activities was just great. Everyone of the staff were wonderful and did everything to make sure our stay was pleasant. We truly loved everyone that works on the Island. Some of our favorites were Mohan, Vishan, Gayantha, Jailam, Max and many many more. The snorkeling excursions were amazing along with boating around the island. Also we loved the private wine tasting with Mohan. We made alot of new friends and can't wait to come back in a few years. Our Constance experience started at Male airport in their guest lounge, where cool towels and refreshments were provided while awaiting our seaplane to Halaveli Resort. Landing on the floating pontoon close to Halaveli resort was disconcerting yet exhilarating and the speedboat from the resort was ready to pick us up and take us to a warm welcome party at the resort jetty. Every moment thereafter we felt completely taken care of and pampered by every staff member regardless of whether they were management, reception, wait staff or cleaning staff. Every person on the Constance Halaveli team is customer focused and friendly. Special mention to Madan Mohan, the acting head chef, who ensured that my vegetarian needs were accommodated, especially at breakfast. Special mention to Tender from the spa who intuitively massaged my husband to iron out knots and referred tension resulting from his shoulder operation last year. Thank you to all for the special care and conversation throughout our stay (Vidyadhar, Rasheed, Jhune, Irene, Sree, Abdul, Lily, Awsum, Yumi, Riyah, and others who's names we can't remember). The villa is beautifully designed and spacious luxury. On more than one occasion we were provided with pleasant and unexpected surprises in our room. The mini bar was well stocked and we were provided with several bottles of water a day. I was heartened to know that the water is bottled using a desalination plant located on the island. And also noticed that all the complimentary cosmetic items are biodegradable, which speaks to the commitment to safeguarding the fragile ecosystem of the island. Highly recommended!! Read Less

We didnt stay long enough this time only 5 days, we found service was patchy this time. However this wont affect our future stays. The prices for Halaveli have steadily increased in last 2 years. I hope they will keep it sort of mid range as aiming towards higher end resorts level price wise could result in some disappointments for experience travellers. The swimming is beautiful as always, sea walls do not bother us at all I we stay in over water villas. Some how it's the cheapest room category and arguably the best . Long walks after dinner were always welcome. Food this time was better in Grill than Zing. I guess the menu in Zing doesn't change and we got a bit bored of it. The kids club is fantastic. My teen daughter had few tennis lessons which were very fun. All in all it's a great resort at the right price level . Possibly the best in its category. Read Less
