There was no disturbance from the arriving/departing boats. If you like watching sunsets in the comfort of your own bungalow, an ocean facing one will be great. A sheltered pavilion (a lot of bird poop 😑 on the benches) on the board walk that leads to the 2 bedroom overwater bungalow is also an alternative. Getting ready took a longer time as I would keep peeking into the water to see what would visit - I saw a black tip shark, sting ray as well as colourful fishes. Food We had the half board - breakfast and dinner at Celsius with international and local items. Poached egg on avo toast and TWG earl grey tea with fresh honey my personal favourite. Dinner includes a starter/main/dessert which was filling, we love spicy so were super happy that fresh cut chilli (Maldivian and Thai) was available upon request! Marine Life Around the resort it was awesome to catch a glimpse of vibrant colourful fishes, turtle, rays and sharks (black tip/nursing). Every single staff we walked past or interacted with was friendly, made eye contact and smiled. Yoonus - Took the initiative to wait for my husband at 7.30am after sending him to the gym for two straight days 👍🏻 - Always checking on us regardless where we are to make sure we are okay and have what we need - Did the pre-departure declaration for us! Hamdhoon (Resort Manager) - Attentive, stops by to chat to make sure we were well taken care of and even got my husband ice cream (for breakfast!) Yoosuf - Humorous! Practiced his Mandarin with us and taught us Dhivehi phrases - We always look forward to our chats with him at breakfast! Aalimaa/Hassain/Veronika and many more - Knowledgeable about the food items and able to give good recommendation when we do not know what to order - Accommodating to our requests such as having 2 mains instead of starter/main/dessert - Made the effort to remember our preferences and some could even remember them at our next meal Muguni - Kindly gave us a tour of Vinum and patiently answered our questions, love his humour! Musto and team - A very patient and great instructor! - Shoutout to the tall skinny staff who has a sunglass mark on his face: we dropped by to say goodbye as promised but you were out fishing with guests Faraah - Thank you for letting us have a peep at the underwater aquarium - Sweet and friendly Male staff at Salt (wears glasses and is allergic to the sea?) - Thank you for bringing the sharks to us so that we can capture them on video! Boat transfer staff/Captain and staff on Dolphin Cruise - Kudos to making us safe and always checking on us throughout the ride Airport staff Fahud - We enjoyed our chat about the island life, culture, etc which made our check in experience at the airport so pleasant despite the long wait The interior of the bungalow feels quite dark at night. Some lights couldn’t be switched on in the morning but that was quickly resolved while we were at breakfast. Although we had our anniversary cake a day late, being in Huvafen Fushi and soaking up the Maldivian sun was already special enough! I booked a Lagoon Bungalow with Pool that was modern and very large. What I loved most about my room, was that the sharks came to me, I never had to swim to them. It was heaven sitting on my deck with a beer watching all the sharks and rays pass by. Huvafen is also a smaller island, so you can easily get from A to B quickly. The food was also amazing with Salt being my favourite, best lamb chops I have ever had. This is an ideal luxury resort for couples who want high end service in a stunning setting. Read Less

Our stay at Huvafen Fushi was beyond excellent. From the time, we got picked up by one of their staff at the airport till the time he helped us check in our bags, it was like living in a fairytale dream. The resort in itself was phenomenal however, what made it even more memorable was the service that we received. A butler was assigned to us Marwa) - I sincerely believe that she is an angel because no one on this earth could be that kind and that perfect. I cannot wait to go back. It felt like, we were removed from our life and were allowed to spend a few days in heaven. That is exactly what I felt. The restaurant staff where we ate breakfast and dinner, did not bat an eye - everything was thought. We even received a singed farewell note from the chef, the chief of service and the resort manager. The resort manager (Mr Hamdoun) went from table to table every morning and chatted to all the guests. I treated myself to a underwater massage (Spaquarium) - and I will give it a 10 out of 10 - the massage and the location. We enjoyed our stay and if I could, I would give this resort a 6 star. Everyone at Huvafen Fushi is so friendly and kind! I stayed in an overwater villa and in the Pavilion for the last night in Maldives and it was amazing! Shuzan, Ankita, Noel, Amed and all the guys at Huvafen made me feel like at home. The marine life here is another level. I was in tears when I left and I think this speaks for itself. Read Less

The water villas were stunning, both the bungalows and the Pavillons, the water is like out of a dream and the staff’s kindness is beyond any kind of Imagination. Here I had some of the best food in Maldives, I enriched my life with marvelous experiences like coral planting, underwater spa, swimming with sea turtles and sharks, had beautiful human connections and the most amazing sunsets. Felt like I was living a dream. Definitely hard to get back to reality after such a stay. I recommend you to book a snorkeling tour with Hamid and try out all the restaurants although my favorite was still the main one. Big thanks for Mr. Shuzan for bearing with me & Luana all the time, for our local maldivian waiter friend who served us our meals always with lots of care and, last but not least, to miss Ankita and Mr. Noel to have made it possible and remarkable.
