The view from the overwater villas were spectacular and we even saw 3 rays swimming right in front of the villa! Food at Leaf was our favourite and the Asian themed night was fun and fabulous. You might have heard bad reviews about food in Maldives being very ‘hotel food’ but Six Senses will surprise you! We had omakase and course dinners with really yummy ingredients (think: Mangalica pork). Every night we had the privilege of chatting with Retheesh the head sommelier who shared his knowledge, experience on wine and life! Special call out to our favourite wait staff Ansaar who we thoroughly enjoyed chatting to at Leaf and Chill Bar. We loved the conversations on your life in Maldives - thank you for sharing! Special thanks to Hussein Met, one of the kind gardeners who kindly showed us every single plant and herb grown on the property and educating us on the various types of mints, basils etc and playing education games with us through smell and taste! We are deeply grateful and appreciate the hard work toiling in the gardens. The property also has a very strong sustainability philosophy and SHELL was an amazing set up which i highly recommend everyone to visit. Special thanks to Greg who showed us around and shared so much insightful thoughts during his talk. Please continue spreading the word and being passionate with your work! Snorkeling on the island was breathtaking and truly magical, with sea turtles and rays aplenty. The house reefs were wonderful and we probably spent 2-3h snorkeling everyday. There are guided tours every morning as well. Activities wise, I highly recommend the dolphin cruise and the back of house tour. Thank you Laisha for the super insightful tour showing us how everything works on the resort. Lastly, our GEM Sobah took such great care of us, checking in often to make sure we had everything we need, even helping me with my sun burn by going to the doctor’s.
