The nautilus is by far the best resort we’ve visited as a family.From the moment you get off your international flight you don’t have to lift a finger everything is done for you. The island is small but extremely private it feels as though the whole island is yours at times. The entire staff are extremely warm and no request is too big. A most special thank you to Emily the in house marine biologist who answered the 100 questions our 8 year old had and made snorkeling a fun experience.Diane and Giulia thank you so much,our son lived at the kids club.Thank you to Rana,Daisy and Jailam at thyme they were always so helpful with everything.Ablo (Abdullah) at the airport lounge entertained our son so throughly it was truly heartwarming. The whole time stands still Read MoreHaving travelled to almost every 5-star resort in the Maldives, I can say confidently that The Nautilus is unlike any other property one can experience in the Maldives. The whole time stands still concept works wonders, where due to the resort's boutique size guests can order what they want, when they want with no restrictions to time. Even before travelling to the resort, we were emailed by our butler who emailed to ask about our preferences for the pool temperature, the type of pillows and what we would like our minibar to be stocked with. The modern water villas are beautifully designed, and spacious and feel very exclusive. I would even go as far as to say they are one of the best villas in the Maldives. There are a total of 3 restaurants on the island, but the concept of anything, anywhere means that the menu serves more as a guideline than anything else, meaning guests can pretty much order anything they like. I highly recommend staying at the Nautilus for anyone looking for a boutique luxury experience, where you leave as a family member of the property more than another guest. Read Less

From the moment we were picked up by boat from our sea plane, we were made to feel so welcome and so special – what the Nautilus excels at is relaxed luxury, with superb attention to (every) detail and terrific staff who looked after us so well, nothing was too much trouble. The island and surrounding area are undeniably stunning, but the top-level food, drinks, spa/health and water sports are delivered by their passionate team, who will be a large part of our reason to go back. We had too many great experiences there to list, but if you like diving, snorkelling and marine life, this area of the Maldives is unmissable, plus you can learn and participate in reef conservation (close to my heart) with the Nautilus dive team. If you’re looking seriously at the Nautilus, just book it and let them take care of the rest. We can’t wait to go back when we can. We didn’t take our young son, but the kids club looked great, we just didn’t test it out this time. Read Less

There are quite a few super luxurious hotels in the Maldives today and Nautilus is right up there with all the other top brands in the Maldives, no doubt, offering all you expect in this category. Beaches, snorkeling, beauty of the gardens and villas, cuisine, all is absolutely impeccable, exceptional and if anyone wants to complain, we won´t understand it. But Nautilus is different thanks to its people, the team that looks after you every moment of your stay. That is where Nautilus stands apart from the others! We will be back for sure as we are able to compare to other similar properties on the Maldives. Food: Executive Chef Kengo Tomita is a real Master to perfectly deliver on a huge challenge: great food, any style, on or off the menu anytime, anyplace (one of the pillars of the concept of Nautilus). All the food is really very good and most importantly for us on a longish stay there, we were totally free to order and enjoy what we wanted – off any menu, benefitting from the masters in the kitchens from Japan, China, Indonesia, the Maldives and so on. Whatever we liked to eat (we can be very special…), we could get it – in every place/restaurant we wanted it at any time of the day. This freedom to do what you want we really enjoyed, there are no real hours for breakfast or lunch / dinners, you just run on your own clock. All that we got was top quality, nicely presented with a lot of dedication, care and love. And Executive Chef Kengo Tomita is special in other ways too: he speaks many languages including Spanish and English, has an enormous repertoire of dishes from across the globe with main specialties in the Japanese, Spanish and Peruvian kitchen. And above all, he is so kind and understanding – simply a very special person. Waiters/Waitresses: superb all the way through. All was served and explained with a smile and a nice word, discreet if we wanted it so or ready to have a nice chat about anything. Also here, every wish we had, they made it happen, the answer was always “yes of course with pleasure” – and they delivered big time! Housemaster: Risan was absolutely brilliant, he seemed to know every wish we had before we even said it. Every little detail we mentioned to him in conversation before or during our stay, he had at the front of his mind, and he ensured we would get perfect service. He organized most memorable birthday and wedding anniversary for us, very stylish and relaxed in fantastic atmosphere, be it on the island´s beach or on a sandbank – we highly recommend these special dinners, they are unforgettable. Risan very well coordinated our boat trips which were fabulous with a very nice and expert crew who went out of their ways to find us the nicest snorkeling spots to find plentiful, beautiful fish and an abundance of sea turtles and dolphins. On one of our trips, we even saw two Orcas/Killer Whales – in the Maldives! We highly recommend these boat trips to anyone who likes a day at sea on a nice boat (Nautilus One). Housekeeping: perfect all the way, cleaning and decorating at the highest level and frankly, we never even saw them. They knew automatically when we left the villa and then cleaned up behind us. Beautiful and thoughtful decorations for special occasions were delivered very time for us to enjoy! These are important people behind the scenes who make your stay enjoyable! Spa: Lead by wonderful Soso it is a heaven to relax and enjoy great massages (Swan and Jeannie!). Also, Therapist healer Swan introduced us to daily Yoga routines and Singing Bowl Meditations – we shall never forget the very special atmosphere Swan was able to create! We shall take her recommendations home and benefit from them a long time to come. General Manager: Andre is the man behind the scenes who runs this tight but relaxed ship, ensuring that guests and staff meet each other with a smile on their faces. Any request we had with respect of choice of villa, he made it happen, without a lot of discussion but simply in an efficient and understanding way, wanting to make our stay memorable and perfect. To run this “bohemian free spirit” concept is not easy, but Andre has mastered this challenge formidably with his crew. Pricing: of course, it is expensive, no doubt, but then guests at this category of hotel have seen the world and want memorable days where price becomes a second priority. What is normal you should get somewhere else and there you will pay less and get less – it is the guest’s choice really in our mind. Value for money: absolutely! Read Less
