Not at this resort. The ocean is jaw-dropping and the resort is pristine we have found ourselves impressed at every turn. I am ambassador elite and have been treated like royalty, even staying on points. They upgraded our villa and treated us amazingly at every turn. The breakfast is expansive and delicious. The buffet is huge and there’s an amazing a la carte menus too. Plus sparkling wine/Prosecco! Most importantly, the staff of amazing with the highest level of service and upbeat attitude. Everyone was absolute perfection. I can’t begin to mention everyone who is top notch—because it’s everyone. But we had the good fortune of having Ismail as our butler. He was a delight. Opi served us many times and she was perfect. Always so attentive and anticipating our needs with the best attitude. Budiman is a master mixologist and made every cocktail to perfection, while also entertaining with such interesting stories. This resort and island are so much better than we had hoped. The rooms are beautiful, the food amazing, the drinks delicious, the spa.... the spa... I mean you have to try the Champagne Toast massage. Gokul was amazing and made the whole experience out of this world. However; even with all of that, the real star of the show is the staff. This was by far the highest level or service we have ever received. Our Butler Hamdhoon should teach others around the world the proper way to care for your guests. The wait staff, housekeeping, grounds people, everyone knows your name and treats you like royalty. Thank you so much to the Manager Vincent for being so welcoming, Opi, Juju, Dina, Pina, Moustafa, I could go on... Everyone made it the most magical experience but again to Hamdhoon specifically, thank you so much. We will return and you are a major reason for that! When we arrived at the airport we have been greeted by a St. Regis buttler who escorted us to their SUV car with all refreshments inside. A warm welcome have been presented to us, she was chatting with us but that chat was to take information to be delivered to our hosts: what we like and even how they want to pronounce our names ( i felt it’s a regular chat but actually it meant a lot to them ) we arrive to the luxury lounge were the vacation begin. We have been afforded literally with everything, we reach a point that we would like our sea plane to be delayed ( this my first time the time flaws vigorously ). When we arrive to the resort a dream come true we have been greeted by the extinguish and extraordinary buttler Mr. Mena, a buttler who reads your minds before you even think, the one who makes everything to be happen, fully organised and he knows your needs, you can find him 24/7 available to answer your needs, a scheduled been sent to us with the amendment updates if there is any, a real full schedule of relax, relax, fun, and joy. Housekeeping are to the point the room in every-night there is a surprise and I never saw one of them cleaning the room they will never bother or knock the door they know when you leaves so the attack your room ( hidden soldiers ). We did try all restaurants each one have it’s own tastes but again each one is amazing ( Mena ) did his part. The Chef & Pina they will not leave you unless you are satisfied. The dive center Mena advised to go for a trip that we don’t want to end it was amazing. The whole worker knows who you are, your room number and your name and how you love things to be done just relax and enjoy the flaws. This resort and Mena are a memorable experience. Last but not the least the resort manager is close to all guest and always listen ( only a complement there ). If I will visit a gain, this destination is a must which is I don’t want it to reach the end. Just returned from our Maldives vacation and it was perfection. Most people think the Maldives are strictly for couples, but the St Regis is an amazing family destination. Arrival at Male was Read MoreJust returned from our Maldives vacation and it was perfection. Most people think the Maldives are strictly for couples, but the St Regis is an amazing family destination. Arrival at Male was seamless. The airport St Regis butler greets you and takes you via private vehicle to the beautiful St Regis airport lounge in the seaplane terminal. You are offered snacks and beverages while you wait for the seaplane. The seaplane ride is ~45 minutes long and we had to stop at another island on the way there. Our airport butler did mention that resort was likely going to get its own plane in the near future (similar to the Four Seasons and the Cheval Blanc). The same airport butler managed our departure from Male as well is it was also seamless. We were worried about weather since it was technically monsoon season. We had seven straight days of glorious sunshine. No rain. No wind. We booked a 2 Bedroom OverWater Villa. The king bedroom is on the main floor with access to the ocean and the 2 queen kids room is on the second floor connected by a staircase. Note - from the staircase you will need your key to enter either room. The set up worked well for us because our kids are older (teens) but wouldn’t be ideal with younger children. The reef just a few feet off our deck was amazing!! It was teeming with fish. It was so magical to put on your snorkel equipment and hop into the ocean from your deck. We even saw rays, turtles and friendly sharks! The restaurants were all very good. Food is pricy but we went into the vacation expecting it. Take advantage of the prepay discount they will offer on arrival. On our last day we had a very late seaplane departure. We had to vacate our villa at noon but the resort was kind enough to give us a beachfront villa to use until 4. The spa is lovely. The best spa I’ve visited in the world. The Blue Hole hydrotherapy pool was very unique and enjoyable. A week went by way too quickly and I am already dreaming of returning! Read Less
