Crystal clear waters, white, soft sand, it is hard to explain paradise to someone but it was! Coupled with our water villa it was the ideal location, perfect! Cleaned and drinks topped up every day and what more could you ask for walking straight into the sea to snorkel or chill?! The staff. Sachin from the sports bar, Singhe from the pool bar and last but definitely not least Ashen providing the day time activities - all get five stars from us! In fact I have not a bad word to say about any of the staff, so friendly and helpul, second to none. The restaurants. Dhoni, Sofia italian and the beef steakhouse all get thumbs up, so much variety. Again, staff exceptional. The activities. Quizzes, bands, guitarist, themed nights, water sports and loved the sunset DJ! Aquafit, the magic carpet, paddleboard yoga and kayaking so much fun, not forgetting the soa massage - bliss! Overall. We could not have picked a better place for our honeymoon, a once in a lifetime opportunity - enough to do, met lots of lovely people, cannot thank the staff enough and once again a special last mention to Ashen, he shines like the sun over this amazing, beautiful Island. Amazing beaches, sand was so white and the sea was a colour I had not seen in my life, just like a giant swimming pool but much better. Swim up pool bar was excellent and also on the beach so everything was there. Food was plentiful and lots of choices , we did try the steakhouse and Sophia which were also excellent especially the steak 🥩 . 24/7 sports bar was also great although pool tables are well used and worn out abit . Special mention to Sachin in the sports bar who kept us refreshed and entertained with his riddles he set us to work out, nice fella who loved his job, as all the staff seemed to do, they couldn’t do enough for us. Relaxing place but more than enough to do to never feel bored. My wife loved the aqua fit in the pool in the mornings which was run by a great guy called Ashen who really made our holiday more fun , he would organise a game of petanque (French boules on the beach) every morning which was great fun and a great way of meeting other guests staying , Ashen really was star of the show every day with his huge smile and fun attitude, he really is a credit to RIU. We stayed in a water villa which was stunning , with the back deck facing the sunset every night it literally felt like paradise. Again the staff who cleaned the rooms were extremely friendly and hard working. Lots of drinks in the rooms also replenished daily. All in all a superb place with superb staff.
